Terms of Service

Last updated2026-07-24

Plain-language version: use your own account, respect other people, keep the rights to what you upload, and never post objectionable content — we ban for that with no second chance.

1.About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Koko Studio (“we”, “us”) covering the website koko.hjstudio.au and the Koko Studio app. By creating an account or continuing to use the platform you accept these terms and our Community Guidelines.

The platform is operated by Hero's Journey Advisory Pty Ltd (ABN 96 683 301 180), registered in New South Wales (NSW 2065, Australia).

You must be 18 or older to use the platform; under-18s may only use it with a guardian’s consent and supervision.

2.Accounts

  • Register with a real email address you can receive mail at. One account per person.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you.
  • Accounts may not be sold, rented, transferred or shared.
  • Do not impersonate other people, teachers, merchants or platform staff.
  • No automated mass registration, engagement farming or scraping.
  • If your account is compromised, change the password and email info@hjstudio.au immediately.

Serious breaches of these terms or the Community Guidelines may result in restricted features, suspension or permanent termination.

3.Credits and subscriptions

Credits are the unit we use to account for the compute cost of each AI generation. They are an allowance bundled with our courses and services.

  • Credits are not currency: they cannot be cashed out, transferred, or traded between users.
  • Credits and subscriptions are purchased on our website; the app does not offer purchases and only spends credits you already have.
  • Credits are deducted when you submit a generation task, at the listed price for that mode. If a task fails on our side, the credits are returned.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each period. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and past periods are not refunded.
  • Bonus credits (sign-up gifts, campaigns, monthly allowances) are not refundable or redeemable for cash and may expire.
  • We may adjust the credit price of each mode as upstream model costs change. Changes apply only to tasks submitted afterwards.

None of the above limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4.Your material and your work

The material you upload, the prompts you write and the work generated from them are yours. We claim no ownership of them.

  • You must have the right to upload what you upload. Using another person’s photo, face or voice requires their consent; using someone else’s work requires a licence. Disputes arising from this are your responsibility.
  • To provide the service you grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to store, transcode, thumbnail and — when you choose to publish — display and distribute your content within the platform. Deleting the content ends that licence (except for backups and logs we must retain).
  • Copyright in AI-generated output is legally unsettled in many jurisdictions. We cannot guarantee you obtain enforceable copyright in a generated result, nor that a result is unique — similar prompts can produce similar output for different users.
  • Subject to these terms and the Community Guidelines, you may use your own work personally and commercially.

5.Zero tolerance for objectionable content

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content. There is no warning stage: offending content is removed and the account is banned, and serious cases are referred to law enforcement.

  • Pornography, sexually explicit or suggestive content, and non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • Any sexualised, exposing or inappropriate content involving minors — permanent ban and referral to authorities.
  • Graphic violence, abuse, or content encouraging self-harm or suicide.
  • Abuse, personal attacks, harassment, stalking, threats and doxxing.
  • Hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability.
  • Illegal content: drugs, weapons, gambling, forged documents, fraud and pyramid schemes.
  • Impersonation; face swaps, synthetic media or fabricated statements involving real people without their consent.
  • False medical, financial or legal advice and other misleading content that can harm people.
  • Spam, engagement farming, recruitment schemes and scam links to external sites.
  • Content that infringes copyright or trade marks.

The full behaviour list and reporting instructions are in the Community Guidelines.

6.Reporting, moderation and enforcement

  • Every user can report a post, a comment or a user, and can block anyone they do not want to see.
  • We commit to acting on reports within 24 hours.
  • A keyword filter runs before publishing; a post reported by three different users is automatically taken down pending human review.
  • Depending on severity we delete the content, take the post down, hide it site-wide, or disable the account so it can no longer sign in (temporarily or permanently).
  • When a report is closed the reporter gets an in-app message with the outcome; when a post is auto-hidden its author is notified the same way.
  • You can appeal any action by emailing info@hjstudio.au — a human reviews it.
  • Abusing the report function is itself a breach of these terms.

7.AI output disclaimer

Images and videos here are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, distorted or simply not what you expected. Output is not medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice.

You are responsible for what you publish, including disclosing that it was AI-generated when you use it elsewhere. Work published on the platform carries an AI-generated label.

8.Vouchers

Vouchers on the platform are for physical goods or services redeemed in person at the merchant by showing the redemption code. Entitlements, validity and restrictions are as stated by the merchant on the voucher page.

We handle collection of payment and the voucher record; the merchant is responsible for the goods or services themselves. Contact the merchant first with any issue — email us if it cannot be resolved.

9.Changes and interruptions

We keep changing the product and may add, modify or retire modes and models, particularly when upstream providers change. We restore service as quickly as we can after maintenance, faults or third-party outages.

Every change to these terms, material ones included, is published on this page with the “last updated” date at the top refreshed — it is worth checking that date now and then. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

10.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law the platform is provided “as is”; we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data or loss of profit, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the dispute.

Guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

11.Closing your account

  • You may stop using the platform at any time. To delete your account, open the Me page in the app or on the web, scroll to the very bottom and tap “Delete account” — after you confirm the prompts, deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also email info@hjstudio.au and we will handle it for you.
  • Deletion removes your posts, media, comments and social connections permanently; remaining credits are not refunded. Save anything you want to keep first.
  • Credit transactions, orders and receipts are accounting records we must retain by law (generally five years) — see the Privacy Policy.
  • We may terminate an account for serious breaches without refund.

12.Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of that state.
